In May 2023, the total export amount of the industry was about 240 million USD, a year-on-year decrease of 26.6%. From January to May, the cumulative export of the entire industry was about 910 million USD, a year-on-year decrease of 14.1%. Except for down garments, the export volumes of other categories have declined to varying degrees.

For import, the total import amount of the industry in May was about 63.405 million, a year-on-year increase of 30.5%. Raw material and garment are the main imported products, with the import amount of these two categories accounting for about 98.5% of the total import amount in May. From January to May, the cumulative import amount of the entire industry was about 220 million USD, a year-on-year increase of 22.2%, accounting for about 24.6% of the total export amount.

On June 29th, Bosideng held its annual performance conference for the fiscal year 2022/23 in Hong Kong. The performance report showed that in the 22/23 fiscal year, Bosideng Group's revenue was 16.77 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 3.5%. The profit growth rate has been faster than the revenue growth rate for five consecutive years, and the revenue and profit have reached a new historical high. Through successful brand revitalization, innovative product upgrades, and effective cost control, Bosideng achieved a brand gross margin of 70.8% in the 22/23 fiscal year, a year-on-year increase of 1.4%.

Industry Cluster: Yu’an District, Lu’An City, Anhui Province

Currently, there are two provincial-level Wanxi White Goose resources conservation farms in Yu'an District. There are consistently more than 15 standardized breeding farms with a year-round stock of over 2,000 geese. In 2022, a total of 275,000 selected and retained breeding geese were kept, and this year, over 4 million goslings can be provided. More than 150 standardized scale breeding demonstration farms (bases) for commercial geese have been cultivated and established. There are 54 large-scale breeding farms with an annual output of over 5,000 million geese. In 2022, the breeding volume of Wanxi white goose was over 3.585 million head.

Currently, Yu'an District has initiated the formulation of a special plan for the development of the Wanxi White Goose industry, aiming to accelerate the development of the entire industry chain of Wanxi White Goose on the existing foundation. The key focus is on strengthening technological support, increasing industry-academia research cooperation, and striving to achieve a batch of technological achievements in feed technology innovation, specialty food development, and down and feather utilization.

Industry Cluster: Shulan City, Jinlin Province

In 2022, the white goose breeding in Shulan city achieved a production amount of 200 million RMB, directly contributing to an increase in farmers' income by 44 million RMB. Currently, the Jilin City Bailing Down Products Co., Ltd. processes 800 tons of feathers annually and produces 100,000 down products. The average annual sales revenue is 180 million RMB, with a profit of nearly 8 million RMB.

The Shulan White Goose Industry Park covers an area of 340,000 square meters and includes the entire white goose industry chain, including goose meat processing, down manufacturing, and product research and development. This year, the construction of eight core zones, including the comprehensive service area, meat production and processing area, and slaughter area, will be completed.
